Greetings from the Malaysia Spine Society (MSS).

On behalf of the Organising Committee, I would like to extend our warm welcome to the 10^th  International MSS Scientific Congress that will be held at WEIL Hotel, Ipoh Perak, Malaysia from 4^th  – 6^th  August 2023.

It has been 17 years since our inaugural scientific meeting in 2006 and the Malaysia Spine Society has gone through challenging years with great resilience. With foresights of its leaderships the scientific congress has transformed into an annual event with ever-increasing participants and tremendous supports from industrial sector.

The theme of this year’s program is “Bridging the Controversies Gap of Spine Surgery”. Our international and local faculty represent teachers and leaders at the cutting edge of respective areas, and the plenary session will surely be illuminating, thoughtful and probably provocative, and offer fertile ground for lively intellectual discussion. This is apart from other the wide range of amazing sessions and presentations to invigorate your conference experience this year.

We want to make sure the congress is an interactive meeting and provide numerous opportunities for informal networking, consultation and research collaboration among local and international academicians, private and public practitioners, and all related parties from various parts.

We will also give will be giving out two awards in this Congress, namely, the MSS Presidential Best Research Award (Oral Presentation), and the MSS Presidential Best Poster Presentation Award. We are inviting all spine surgeons and spine-related researchers to submit their research works for oral and e-poster presentations.

I want to personally thank all the individuals who is working to make this event such a great success with special mention to the Scientific Chairman, Dr Chung Weng Hong and organising committee members for planning an excellent programme for the congress as well as the Secretariat team for coordinating the congress. It is definitely a collective effort of all members with thrust of altruism.
